Sat  9 Aug	6:00pm	First Meeting	Donna's House	UPDATED. The first informational/social meeting for the Reston Runners 2008 JFK 50 group is scheduled for Saturday, August 9th. Since REGISTRATION for the 2008 JFK 50-miler is CLOSED We will NOT be collecting applications. We will be providing important information (and swapping stories, having fun, etc) at this potluck dinner gathering. We will have your (runners) team shirts available for you to purchase. Directions to Donna's: Donna Rostant, 3217 Navy Drive, Oak Hill (Herndon), VA, 20171. From Reston Town Center, south towards Fair Oaks on Reston Parkway, which becomes Lawyers Rd at Fox Mill Shopping Ctr. Lawyers Rd then bears left and becomes West Ox Road. Once the road turns into West Ox, look for small Burke Nursery on the left. About 1/4 of a mile past the nursery, turn left onto Bennett Road, there is a left turn lane - (If you see Navy Elementary School on West Ox, you've gone too far.) Go down Bennett Road about 1/4 mile to the second street on the right, which is Navy Drive (Dartmoor subdivision). Turn right onto Navy Drive and 3217 is the second house on the left in the second block.
Sat  13 Sep	7:00 am	AT Run	Wiehle Commuter	NEW THIS YEAR! We are planning a familiarization run from the race start location, over the AT section to Weverton. We will meet at the small commuter lot at the corner of Wiehle and Sunset Hills (next to the W&OD trail) at 6:45 am. At 7 am we caravan up to Weverton, drop some of the cars, drive to Boonesboro, then run the AT section (about 14 miles). Then we'll retrieve the cars in Boonesboro, have lunch and return to Reston.
Sat  15 Nov	6:00pm	Final Meeting	Blueberry Hill	The final organizational meeting on Saturday, November 15th is a must-attend (well, we highly ENCOURAGE you attend) for all Reston Runners and Crew participating in the JFK50. We will distribute important informational packets (you might even see your name in print!) and the highly coveted Reston Runner Team Shirts! If you haven't already done so, you can sign up for the pre-race dinner. Runners and crew will meet and strategize. Crews will review their final instructions. Guest speakers are possible. Motivation and fun are a sure thing!
