Every year Reston Runners sends about 100 people to the JFK 50 Mile Ultramarathon- Approximately 50 each, runners and support crewmembers. If you are curious about running an (entry level) ultra and are in the Northern Virginia area,  you should consider joining our team.  The 2008 JFK 50 will be run on Saturday, November 22nd.  Applications will be available around July 1st, 2008.

This website  enables you to sign up to participate in the JFK 50 as a member of a Reston Runner team.  Please be sure to read the information on the Application Info page under the 2008 section on the left side first.  New this year, we have separate registries to sign up as Runner and Crew.  Both are up and running and ready for your input.   Feel free to contact the Reston Runners JFK 50 organizers at  Program Coordinatorsfor any questions you may have.

Are you contemplating the JFK, but still have some questions?  Would you like one of our JFK 50 miler veterans to serve as your eMentor?  If so, just send us an email to  Program Coordinators letting us know a few things about yourself and we'll link you up (via email) to a runner that would be happy to share their experiences and answer your questions.  We'd suggest in your email you let us know things like:  How many marathons have you run?  Average times?  Check it out!
