Saturday's Women's Distance Festival was a huge success once again. Congratulations to all the women finishers and especially to those who completed their first 5K run. While the weather was miserable, the attitude, excitement and enthusiasm was not. A special thanks to the Race Committee Members - Ann Belkov, Helen Hipps, Karen Lovelace, Bridget Murphy, Maria Nussbaum, Jill Tunick and Darlene Walker - who made the event possible. Also - a hearty thanks to our wonderful volunteers. Finally, thank you to our fabulous male cheerleaders who exceeded the expectations of the crowd. In fact, Jon's dance "moves" were so impressive, I had multiple requests for his telephone number by the single women participants.
