On behalf of the March of Dimes, I would like to thank those of you who volunteered at WalkAmerica on April 23, 2006 at Lake Fairfax Park. Registration ran smoothly thanks to your support!  I have heard nothing but positive comments from our walkers, including "the volunteers at registration were so friendly!"  I cannot thank you enough for choosing to support the March of Dimes and our mission to improve the health of babies.  Reston Runners involvement means so much to us and we are extremely grateful for your continued support.  When John Koss called to tell me how many volunteers he had recruited, I almost fell off my chair!  I cannot even express our extreme gratitude.  WalkAmerica was a huge success, thanks to your help.  In fact, in Reston alone, we had 1,048 registered walkers and raised more than $417,000.  As a chapter, we are projecting to have raised $1,090,000 just at WalkAmerica in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area.  Thank you again for your support and I hope to have the opportunity to work with Reston Runners again in the future!
