I did a poem about these volunteers once before but I'm tooting their horn again
Because their value to Reston Runners is constant; Not just now and then

Anna formed this small army with Finish Line Services printed on their orange vest backs
To manage other organizations race results, on roadways and on tracks

A few years ago, they would stumble a bit as they worked through all sorts of glitches
These days they can almost do no wrong with safeguards for all well-known hitches

A typical day begins when the data team hits the beach and assesses what situations that they might face
Then the outside team creates the finish line shoot, to handle the runners' needs of that particular race

When the last participant crosses the finish line, the gear is packed and results for awards are complete
The team then is off to a restaurant, to get a bite to eat
