Last Saturday, Sharon put out the welcome mat, so we all found goodies, that we could take
The occasion was a potluck breakfast at her lovely home; located upon a lake
This charming venue was perfect for hanging with friends; you really couldn't ask for more
I noted the success of the event, by all of the shoes sitting, just outside the door
Our gang was greeted with scrambled eggs with veggies, fruits and, pastries of every kind
We circled the table and, sensibly took what was just right for our plates; then formed a second helping line
And all the while, Sharon's player piano was heard in the background; to add to the already wonderful affair
This was a morning to remember; thanks to Sharon and, I'm sure glad that I was there
