It's just before seven at the commuter lot and look at the crowd that is here
Our runs start early in the summer, to help avoid the heat that we fear
Anna has some words to enlighten, then it's time to do what we must do
Then our scantily clad gang hit the parkway, to begin more miles than a few
Some runners chose the sidewalk, while others ran in the road where they stayed
Soon our luck at making a four lane a three lane, ran out at a spot down near Glade
Yes, the flashing red and blue was a signal, that our road running was sure out of hand
And Joe to the flack for our careless running, as he talked for a while with "the man"
This time we just got a warning but, now they'll be watching as we run
So let's be real safe with our club runs, so we all can continue with the fun
