The Spring into Summer Women's Distance Festival was held today, at the South Lakes high school track
Over two hundred and fifty, ran and walked the three miles, from the stadium through the wood and back
Loretta, Dawn and yours truly, found great sponsors, for the awards and prizes that we gave
Dee Dee rounded up volunteers to do everything, like the finish line, that was headed by Dave
Ann's orange shirted coaches, encouraged their students, to do the best that they could do
And Sara's fern shirts were sensational and, there were ferns on the finisher medals too
Yes, the event was one we could be proud of and, Loretta's planning made it look easy to the folks in the stands
Three cheers to the Reston Runners members, who came forward, when the call went out for all hands
