Sexual Battery in Reston

On Thursday, June 15 around 10 p.m., a woman was talking on her cell phone while walking near the intersection of Old Reston Avenue and Sycamore Valley Drive in Reston. A man approached her from behind a shrub and touched her inappropriately. He grabbed her arm and tried to pull her toward the bushes. The victim, a 23-year-old Reston woman, began yelling and hitting the suspect in the head with her cell phone. The suspect let go and ran toward the Sycamore Apartment complex.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s. He's about 5 feet 6 inches tall with black hair and a mustache. He wore jeans and a light-gray polo shirt.
