Help pick up litter (optional) on our adopted portion of the W&OD trail (Town Center Parkway bridge, east to Wiehle Avenue). Litter bags and gloves will be distributed at the starting location. Wear Reston Runners attire, drop your litter bag at our designated location at Isaac Newton Square and continue your run hands-free. The 10-mile option can be done by runners doing two loops of the marked five mile course, and self-starting at 7 am or the appropriate time allowing them to finish 10 miles around 9 am. The three-mile option can be done by runners turning around at a 1.5-mile point marked on the five-mile course, and retracing their steps back to the start.
