Interval Training - August 27th - NEW LOCATION

Happy Sunday! Great turnout last week! Let’s see if we can get as many people or more this week…our second to last ITP session.


New challenge for this week…we have a new location.


We’ll meet at Lake Newport Tennis Courts at 6:00pm on Wednesday.


Why are we changing location? School is back in session and the track is getting a bit busy.


August 27th Workout

  1. 15-minute warmup (easy/conversational pace) on trails near Lake Newport Tennis Courts.
  2. Hill Repeats. After warmup, we’ll meet at the base of a hill, then run up at ~80-85% effort. We’ll walk down slowly. That is 1 repeat. Goal: 3-5 repeats.
  3. 15-minute cool down on the trails.


Tips:

  1. Maintain good posture.
  2. Keep your feet under you by shortening your stride to match the incline.
  3. If the hill is too long, shorten it by going part-way up (1/3 or 1/2 way).
