RACING WITH RESTON RUNNERS

Our club has an amazing and diverse range of athletic talent. Many are new club members and are in training for their first 5K or 10K. Others are experienced runners who run competitively and have completed dozens of marathons and ultras. We are unified in our love for the sport and a desire to reach personal goals.

  • Reston Runners is making a renewed effort to compete as a team at upcoming road races. We motivate each other through the many good (and bad) miles.  Entering races and competing as a team helps each of us establish running goals--achieve our fastest time, or perhaps run farther than we have before. Racing keeps us motivated and on track (pun intended)! And, we always look forward to a post-race celebration!  Contact info@restonrunners.org if you are interested in joining our team for any race!

Reston Runners Two-Person Relay Race

Reston, Virginia -- Saturday, November 22, 2025

Reston Runners Two-Person Relay Race

Mark your calendars and Register for our next RR Two-Person Relay--Saturday, November 22! This exciting event still features two teammates, one car, course checkpoints, and a post-race party, but this year, we’re adding a fresh twist: lake perimeters as checkpoints!

  • No race entry fee.
  • Teams choose their own routes to and through the checkpoints.
  • One person runs while the other team member drives ahead and finds a safe place to pull over and wait for the runner to arrive. The driver and runner then switch places, or the driver can simply cheer on the one running until they do want to switch places.
  • Join us at Ted’s Bulletin immediately after the race for celebration!
